about

this e.p. finds me trying out some things,
so, i invented a character to address it to

meet justin. perhaps at a low point in life
perhaps in a hard stage of development

perhaps unsure of him self, or character-
you know, a guy looking for a place to be

so, this recording is about real optimism
in the face of uncertain, what, future???

reality? ? ? tragedy? ? ? health? ? ?

i couldn't say entirely. it is all on a page
that hasn't been written yet. i'll just have

to ask Annie the next time she calls me.

(i hope you're alright
i love you

and you'll always be
dear to me)

p.s. it isn't clear, but the acoustic guitar
is tuned in a modified open g

which is a new one for me ... (thank
you, ancestor fingers
