theme from 'love streams' written by john cassavetes & bo harwood. it is from the "love streams operetta" dream sequence in the film love streams by john cassavetes. it was originally sung by gena rowland.
secret girl written by sonic youth (gordon, shelley, renaldo, moore). it may contain a diagetic sample of nat king cole's song in the film the blue gardenia by fritz lang. i first heard this song on the soundtrack to the film made in u.s.a. by ken friedman.

this is an incomplete collection of songs. aside from (in the end)... & lou reed, i had always considered re-recording these songs and additionally including three more songs i have not yet completed. there were also originally two covers i thought of as part of the narrative, but i have yet to record them. so, for this release i included not a hollywood ending and the three covers (theme from 'love streams', last great american whale, & secret girl) so as to complete it even though it isn't complete to me.
